General FAQ
Band Camp!?!?
Two weeks of practice before school starts! We will practice the music, the choreography, use of the props, and of course, have lots of bonding activities. This is the week where we grow and become a family. It can be grueling but the end rewards are worth it. Please see the schedule, dress up days, and supply list links above.

Bring your instrument with a name tag

Bring snacks, your filled water jug, & any medicine needed

Bring yourself appropriately dressed

Bring your black music binder, printed music, & dot sheet

You will receive any accessories you ordered during band camp.
Band Camp Times:
-
Pickup & Drop off is in the bus lane outside the gym.

Start time means the student should be on the field and ready to go, drop off 20 minutes prior.

Pick up on time - our instructors have other places to be!

Students CANNOT be absent during band camp without prior approval from the directors.

On the day of the dance, students MUST leave campus to shower & then come back for the mandatory party.
Band Camp Food:
-
Students MUST eat a HEALTHY breakfast each day!

Hydrate with water! No dairy or caffeine all week.

Students CANNOT leave campus for food - driving or walking.

No outside food can be brought in unless there is a dietary restriction - please let us know before camp.

Week 1, M & Tu: students must bring a packed lunch

Week 1, W-F: lunch will be provided

Week 2, M-F: lunch & dinners on late nights will be provided

Band Camp Clothing:
Students in improper clothing or shoes will be sent home.

T-shirt to fit the theme - no midriff showing

Athletic / Basketball shorts - school appropriate length (no jeans)

Sneakers or Tennis Shoes (no crocs, sandals, vans, or skater shoes)
-
Hat & sunglasses are encouraged

Deodorant & sunscreen are a must

Natural hair colors only during Marching Band season

Yes, we will rehearse in the rain- we have ponchos!
Marching Band Pictures:
We take a group marching band picture in full uniform during band camp. Check the schedule for the date. Seniors will also be taking their headshots for their banners & family portraits. If your family cannot attend during this time, please contact a director to coordinate another time.

Game Nights/Competition Food:
Send your student with money on a card for dinners during game nights (home and away). They will have a chance to visit the concession stands for food after half time. Consider sending them with extra food/snacks on game days so they can eat after school and before the game. Competition food will be pre-ordered and the amount will be charged to your CutTime account.
After Game/Competition Pick Ups:
You will receive a Remind message when we know ETA for pickup after an away game or competition trip. Do NOT block the bus lane- we need space for the buses to pull in and drop off the kids. Students may be delayed coming out after the drop off because we must unload the trailer and clean up the band room.
Payments:

A $200 commitment payment should be made by early summer.

Payments throughout the year can be paid online in CutTime.

A Check or cash can be dropped off in the lock box in the band room. Make sure it's in an envelope with your student's name on it. Make checks out to:

Volunteering to work Home Game Concessions can earn credit towards your account. Shifts giving credit will be marked as such when you sign up in CutTime.
