Kylie Lord

Director of Bands- Villa Rica Middle

Kylie Hamilton-Lord is excited for her first year as the band director of Villa Rica Middle School! A Carrollton native, she attended school at Central High School and graduated from Berry College in 2021 with a degree in Music Education. During her time at Berry, Mrs. Lord was the principal flute player for the wind ensemble her junior and senior year and gigged at several local events and churches. She also served as a flute, piccolo, and woodwind instructor for many middle and high schools, including Central High School, Rome High School, and Model Middle School.

Mrs. Lord began her teaching career in Manchester, GA. There, she served as the Assistant Director of Manchester High School and the Band Director at Manchester Middle School. During her time at Manchester, the students earned superior and excellent ratings at marching competitions and Large Group Performance Evaluation. Additionally, she had large student involvement in the District Honor Band. She also launched and directed the Saxophone Ensemble and Clarinet Ensemble for middle and high school students.

Mrs. Lord actively participates in the Fayetteville Flute Choir and the Peachtree Wind Ensemble. She is also a member of NAfME and GMEA. Outside of music, she enjoys walking with her dogs (Lady and Lilo), traveling, quoting movies, and eating at new restaurants.
